President Khatami Meets With Outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador

TEHRAN Outgoing Vietnamese Ambassador to Tehran Hoan Van Din met Iranian President Mohammad Khatami here Sunday at the end of his mission to Tehran.

Khatami said that Vietnam has been a cradle of civilization in East Asian region and praised Vietnamese bravery in their battles against imperialism.

He said that Iran and Vietnam are very close, noting that they can expand their cooperation.

Hoang van Din thanked Iranians' hospitality.
